Tips for first-timers

A few things that help.

  • Arrive 10 minutes early to find parking and settle in
  • Bring socks — shoes are removed at the door
  • Wear modest, comfortable clothing — shoulders, chest, and knees should be covered
  • Avoid sleeveless tops, shorts, or skirts above the knee
  • Sit anywhere — floor cushions and chairs are both available
  • Chant along or just listen — there is no pressure to participate
  • Prasāda is served near the end — stay for a warm vegetarian meal
  • The community is warm. Say hello to anyone.
